We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Kells, Meath. This role is critical in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations and ensuring a high standard of service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the store.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations, maintaining high standards of service.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and stocktaking.

Team Leadership:
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage timekeeping.

Customer Service:
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Ensure the team provides outstanding customer service at all times.
- Implement and maintain customer service standards.

Sales and Marketing:
- Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet targets.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
- Monitor sales performance and provide reports to the General Manager.

Financial Management:
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Monitor and control expenses within the budget.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures.

Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Promote a safe working environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the retail or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and retail management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management.

Educational Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential if the candidate has relevant experience.
