We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Arnotts in Dublin City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and performance goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain store standards, including visual merchandising, cleanliness, and organization.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing action plans.
- Train and develop team members, providing ongoing coaching and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Assist in planning and executing promotional events and sales activities.
- Manage stock levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability.
- Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a department store or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management software.
- Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education:
- A degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
